First of all, you may be wondering about the name of our Cattery. RaynbowsRagdoll is a pleasant adventure for my wife and I (Erin & Douglas). Rainbows are very important to us. The first time we ever kissed, when we looked up, we saw a double rainbow in the sky. That was an incredible moment for the both of us!
Erin & Douglas share their enthusiasm for animals. We have been breeding purebred dogs for several years and have 3 female English Springer Spaniels in our household now also. We have also been in love with the Ragdoll breed of cat for a very long time. We have enjoyed sharing our puppies with other families so much, we wanted to do the same thing with our Ragdolls. All of our animals are raised in our home and are cherished members of our family. We have 4 children, ages 1, 6, 7, and 12. All the animals are exceptionally well socialized with other dogs, cats, and kids.
We live on a farm near Redwood Falls in south central Minnesota. We are about 45 minutes away from Marshall, 90 minutes from the Twin Cities, 60 minutes from Mankato and Wilmar, and under 2 hours away from Rochester. We love being on the farm. Both of us feel it provides the best environment for raising our kids. It also gives us the opportunity to raise chickens. We are hoping to have horses in the future as well.
All of our animal companions are regular members of our household. Unlike some Catteries, we do not believe in crating or caging our cats. All of our pets receive regular veterinary care - they probably get more medical attention than the people in our house! We also use top quality pet food. We feed and recommend Nutro Pet Food products. We have done quite a bit of research and decided that Nutro is one of the best types of pet food available. As a bonus, it is also cheaper than many of the other top quality pet foods.
Both Erin & Douglas were brought up to believe that if cats are allowed in the house at all, they had to be declawed. Luckily, we have learned otherwise. We do not declaw our cats. We work with all of our cats' feet since they are young enough to be handled. All of our cats are accustomed to having their claws trimmed with a regular fingernail clippers. We are more than happy to show the new owners of our kittens how easy it is to trim kitty claws.

Erin & Douglas have been best friends for over 4 years before our wedding in the spring of 2005. We are happy to say that we are STILL best friends even after being married! |

These are our two older boys, Taylor & Ryley. Taylor is very excited to be beginning 2nd grade this year, while Ryley will be going into Kindergarden. The boys love playing with the kittens and adult cats as much as they can! |

This is our son, "Tre". He had his first birthday on August 1, 2007. He loves to crawl around and play with the cats and kittens. Luckily Ragdolls are such a gentle breed - while Tre is learning how to properly handle cats, they have never bitten or scratched him! |
